About me

Theatre + Comedy + Music/entertainment + Michigan State (Advertising.) That was the foundation. Then a very great man in the ad biz actually hired me to … be me. Since then, I've been working with Detroit-area agencies large & small, national & local, private & public, above the line & ignoring the line. I've met all kinds of people, gained valuable experience and learned new tricks at each shop along the way.

I'm one of the ones who volunteers for everything. The writer who wants to be on every project. The guy who'll fight for an idea that's worth it and stop when it's time to. The first to either tell you (or ask you) how the meeting went. A guy who's won a few awards along the way but never paid much attention to them. The guy who respects creative aesthetic expertise but will listen to smart feedback from anyone. I'm the [xxxx] who mayyybe might play a practical joke. The one who will write a parody song about you and then sing it to you on your birthday. I'm a dad. A gardener. A cook. A guy who tried substitute teaching as an adventure. A guy who can make brain surgery jokes because I've had it. A volunteer in the emergency room of my local hospital. And now I'm done talking about myself. The end.
